Idaho Public Land Sale – Again

Hello Members!

There are several organizations that are currently sounding the alarm regarding the sale of the federally owned public lands, especially Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, Trout Unlimited (see the current TU magazine), Idaho Wildlife Federation, and Idaho Conservation League, to name a few.

This is an ongoing battle, including the attempts to dismantle the Endangered Species Act and the Environmental Protection Act, which have impacts on the habitat and conservation of many of our treasured animal, bird, insect and plant species, not to mention the health and welfare of the human species.

As a traditional bowhunter and naturalist-conservationist, I feel very passionate about preserving our public lands as public, and all that is associated with good stewardship of mother earth and all her various inhabitants.

I’m hoping that despite political differences among our members, we can come together as an organization to oppose this threat. Please contact your representatives and senators to let them know we oppose the sale of our public lands.  Check the attached link to BHA to fill in the blanks with your information opposing the sell off of our public lands.

Thank you,  Janet Houlihan

Idaho Traditional Bowhunters (ITB) was founded in 1988 by John Turner and friends. ITB’s envisioned the need to promote traditional bowhunting, and raise awareness of the growing number of Idaho hunters who choose to hunt with traditional equipment. ITB has helped promote and develop some of the best state bowhunting regulations in the U.S. We hope to begin chasing a traditional only season
