Meadows Valley Traditional Rendezvous

Howdy Fellow Traditional Archers and Bowhunters!

Coming up next weekend, June 27-29, is our final ITB gathering at the beautiful ranch above the town of New Meadows, Idaho. Below you’ll find a copy of the activity schedule for this shoot.

We have purchased a battery powered automated flying disc thrower and for $5 you can shoot it when it’s available for the entire weekend! We need a few volunteers to learn how to safely operate the disc thrower and monitor the shooting area and the shooters. The folks who came to help with the site prep this past weekend got to give it a try and it was really fun but also challenging.

We are still looking for someone who has a side by side that could pull a small trailer to haul targets around the course. Dave and Lisa have graciously volunteered theirs but we could use a second unit. We’ll be clearing course trails on Thursday and setting targets on Friday and anyone who will volunteer to help with targets can set up their camp on Thursday. Porta potties will be arriving on Thursday!

Checkout our website for information about the cost of the shoot, the directions to the site, and a summary of the activities. This shoot is a great family gathering time and I hope you can join us for some fun 3D shooting and relaxing in a glorious forested mountain meadow setting.

There was fresh elk scat in the meadow, maybe we’ll have a sighting!

See you soon!  Regards, Janet

Idaho Traditional Bowhunters (ITB) was founded in 1988 by John Turner and friends. ITB’s envisioned the need to promote traditional bowhunting, and raise awareness of the growing number of Idaho hunters who choose to hunt with traditional equipment. ITB has helped promote and develop some of the best state bowhunting regulations in the U.S. We hope to begin chasing a traditional only season
