MVTR, that's a wrap. Time to start planning for 2027. Thank you to everyone who shared posts, set targets, volunteered, picked up targets and everything in-between. You are the reason all this is possible. Almost ready for the Rendezvous! We are looking forward to shooting with all of you very soon! We close out the weekend with one of the most important parts of our event lineup, the ITB Raffle. A relaxed, crowd favorite event that’s all about fun! Not every shot deserves points. When the mountains get steep and the easy road disappears…some hunters keep going. Join us for the MVTR Target Auction, where our battle tested, well loved targets go to the highest bidder. These targets have seen thousands of arrows and plenty of stories, now they’re ready for a new home. Forget easy shots. This isn’t your average round of archery. NEW to the Meadows Valley Traditional Rendezvous is the The Youth TRAD Camp (Teaching Readiness And Discovery). This is a hands-on outdoor experience built for young adventurers ready to learn, explore, and discover new skills. The Potato Shoot is back and this year it’s taking a turn for the bizarre! There’s something special about shooting arrows under the stars. BowBirds is back at the Meadows Valley Traditional Rendezvous! The Meadows Valley Traditional Rendezvous is getting closer, and we're excited to share the official event schedule. We are actively working to reschedule the Meadows Valley Traditional Rendezvous, so don’t put your bows away just yet! Giving Back Through Archery! When ITB member Quinn Carman was asked to create a school project to submit to local news station KTVB, she knew exactly what she wanted to do. Drawing on her passion for traditional archery, she chose to showcase the Idaho Traditional Bowhunters and the impact they have on its members and community. Video recap of our BowBirds & Litter Pickup! The BowBirds were flying today at the TVB Spring Bear & Antelope Shoot! It was tough to convince the compounds to put down the wheels and pick up the sticks, but those brave ones who did, made some fantastic new memories. Seven participants were able to shoot a bird out of the sky, but only one could win it all. At the end of the day, Jerry Wilson (ITB Lifemember & past President) took home the $25 Archery Central Gift Certificate and donated the 2026 ITB Membership Prize to the next person who signs up as a member this year. Thank you so much Jerry and congrats again! ITB & Archery Central will be cohosting a Traditional Only Equipment BowBirds Novelty Shoot at the Treasure Valley Bowhunters Spring Bear & Antelope Shoot on Sunday March 29th. We will be setting up at 10am and launching disc into the sky until 4pm. Today is our BowBirds and HWY 52 Cleanup. We'll meet at 10am in the same parking lot as last month's Spring Fling Shoot. Certified Archery Instructor and ITB member Janet Houlihan is hosting an archery class this week at the Cascade Rec Center through Thursday! Her current students are a group of first and second grade girls, and Janet is confident that by the end of the week they’ll be hitting bullseyes like pros. What a memorable weekend at the Spring Fling Shoot in New Plymouth! The sun was out and so were the people. Huge thanks to everyone who joined in, volunteered, and shared their stories with us. Stay tuned for a full write-up on our website soon! The Spring Fling is just around the corner, just over 10 days to go! Huge congrats to Mike Harris!!! Not only did he become a Lifetime Member of ITB at the Northwest Traditional Archers Expo, but he also doubled down and took home the Bear Longbow (donated by ITB VP John Warford), 6 arrows, a finger tab & a knife from our raffle at the booth. We are all set up at the 2026 Northwest Traditional Archers Expo in Pendleton, Oregon. Stop by, say hi and sign up for your 2026 Membership! Check out this article written by ITB Member and ITB Director at Large Mike Schlegel. It can be found on our ITB website and the Idaho County Free Press page too. We're thrilled to share some exciting news. ITB member and Director at Large, Mike Schlegel, has been honored with the Pope & Young Club Lee Gladfelter Memorial Award! End of Day 2 of the MVTR ITB President Janet and her husband Bill, traveled from Cascade, Idaho to Petaluma, California for the 2025 Western States Traditional Rendezvous. Check out her writeup and pictures documenting the entire ADVENTURE, on our website!
