Bow Birds & Litter Pickup: RECAP

Hello Members,

An astonishing 83 large orange bags of trash and a few tire remnants lined the section of Highway 52 after we completed the 3 hour litter pickup. Many thanks and deep gratitude to the 15 volunteers who showed up to help the project of cleaning the sides of our newly designated highway portion.

We appreciate you…Pat L, Kevin S, Lisa H, Dave H, Bill H, Janet H, Aiden C, Alex M, Sara M, Kimber M, Alister M, Milt B, Wayne S, Jeff M, Casey C, Shawn C, Ryan C, Quinn C, Landon C.

The awesome cooks Wayne, Pat and Milt served up a delicious barbecue, thank you for your generous gift to the club! The Stutzmans property was perfect for our BBQ and Bowbirds, which was great fun after all the hard work.

We had a brief club meeting with a unanimous vote of approval to use club funds to purchase a disc thrower from Three Rivers Archery (Dave and Wayne are negotiating the price) and 2-3 quality block targets through Riley Savage-Archery Past.

We all agreed the new road portion, Highway 52, milepost 12-14.4, is a much safer section, especially for children. The weather was beautiful and it was definitely a worthwhile and fun event.

Thank you to all who participated!

Blessings,

Janet Houlihan

Idaho Traditional Bowhunters (ITB) was founded in 1988 by John Turner and friends. ITB’s envisioned the need to promote traditional bowhunting, and raise awareness of the growing number of Idaho hunters who choose to hunt with traditional equipment. ITB has helped promote and develop some of the best state bowhunting regulations in the U.S. We hope to begin chasing a traditional only season
