Greetings! Part 2 of the Meadows Valley Rendezvous report…The blanket shoot had about 20 participants and the table was piled with a variety of great prizes. Pat Lopez had first pick with a winning score of 308, second was Matt Garner with a score of 299, and third overall was Janet Houlihan with a score of 286. The raffle took place after the blanket shoot and the kids drew the tickets from the buckets to award the donated prizes to the lucky winners. Thanks so much to those of you that made donations. We appreciate your support as this helps raise money for our club.
The Rendezvous had 60 registered shooters, up from 45 last summer, and had gross receipts of $2491.00. Expenses were $100 for Imp target, $69.25 for gas for Halls to haul trailer, Porta potties $525 (Honey Dippers gave us a donation of the washing stations!), $175 to Ed Olson for the use of his property, $25 credit card fees. Mark Wood haued the trailer back home to the Halls and declined to be reimbursed for gas money; thank you Mark! Expenses totaled $894.25. Payment of club insurance was made this month, $1093.00 for a year of coverage. Current bank account balance is $10,510.36 with a couple of checks still outstanding. We replaced the worn, torn and wind destroyed canopies with two used large wall tents for $400 each, a good and useful long term investment approved by the club officers and several of the club members present at the recent shoot. We used them for the registration and raffle tables at New Meadows and it was awesome to have good shelter. We could just close the tent flaps and keep things safe and protected while we went to shoot or have a lunch break. Thank you John Warford for your generous donation of paying for half the cost of one tent!
Attached below is the agenda for the upcoming Zoom Monthly Club meeting. We have several important items on the agenda, including decisions to be made about our target trailer, amending the club bylaws to define spending parameters for club officers and splitting the secretary-treasurer position into two positions, and also appointing a target course designer, and replacing target stakes (John Warford offered to remake them). If you haven’t already done so, just download the Zoom app and then click on the link https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87546586054 Check out the website! The link is there also.
We really want to have your input, so we welcome emails if you can’t make the meeting. Hopefully, you can join us!
Best regards during this exciting time of year as elk and deer hunting season approaches!
